Sutton Celebrates Inclusion in PR Net 100
Sutton is celebrating our inclusion on The PR Net 100 among the industry’s best – after nearly two decades of shaping global cultural narratives.
A Global Energy
Founded in London in 2006, Sutton has grown into one of the most influential cultural communications agencies in the world, working with an exceptional roster of museums, galleries, art fairs, foundations, and brands. Over nearly two decades, the agency has cultivated something rare: a truly global perspective grounded in deep local insight, from our offices in London, Paris, New York, Miami, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Shaping Lasting Cultural Narratives
“Our work is about more than visibility,” says Calum Sutton, Founder and Group CEO. “We’re here to create narratives that have lasting cultural resonance — stories that connect institutions, artists, and audiences in meaningful ways.”
That vision has propelled Sutton into collaborations with some of the most respected names in the arts. In the United States alone, we support the Guggenheim Museum, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, Nasher Sculpture Center in Texas, High Museum of Art in Atlanta, and the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pennsylvania. In APAC, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Art Sonje Centre in Seoul, CHAT Hong Kong and Para Site.
Globally, the list reads like a map of cultural landmarks: Guggenheim Bilbao, Fondation Beyeler and Kunstmuseum Basel in Switzerland, Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, and Pirelli HangarBicocca in Milan, among others.
Beyond the Museum World
Sutton’s reach extends beyond the museum world. We are the global communications partner for Art Basel — and have long-standing relationships with fairs including 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, Untitled Art, and the newly launched Atlanta Art Fair.
Public Art and Cultural Communications
The past year alone has been a dynamic moment for cultural communications.
In Miami Beach, Sutton has been promoting The ReefLine, a seven-mile underwater public sculpture park and artificial reef. And in an inspired crossover between art and sport, the agency produced A Goal in Life, a collaboration between the Inter Miami CF Foundation, artist Refik Anadol, and Lionel Messi, raising funds for Latin American educational initiatives through the auction of a unique digital artwork.
Expanding Horizons
Recognition has followed. In 2024, Observer named Sutton one of the top PR firms in America and one of the top PR firm for the visual arts. Senior members of the team have been invited to share their expertise at NYU’s Art Business Society, Columbia University’s Arts Admin Next, and through international mentorship platforms such as Art Market Mentors.
This growth has also been geographic. Sutton recently expanded on the West Coast, adding senior staff in Los Angeles to meet demand in these rapidly evolving cultural hubs. New regional partnerships — including ICA SF and The Donum Estate — join an already formidable client base. We have consultants based in Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo.
Looking Ahead
The agency’s future is as ambitious as its past. On the horizon are projects like 2025’s ongoing centennial of Robert Rauschenberg’s birth, a new cultural engagement strategy for Barcelona’s Casa Batlló during the 100th anniversary of Antoni Gaudí, and a significant luxury brand collaboration with a world-renowned artist.
“Every project we take on is a chance to spark cultural conversations that matter,” says Jennifer Joy, President and Managing Director, Americas. “That’s been at the heart of Sutton since day one — and it will continue to define our work for years to come.”
